Type of Carpet Damage – Burn in Carpet
This burn in carpet was a result of a soldering iron that was dropped on the floor during electrical work being performed by a contractor. This was a residential job on a new house that the owner had not yet moved into, so there was time to act fast to make the repairs.
How Was the Carpet Repair Made?
We had to remove the area that had the burn in carpet as you can see above and replace it with the same carpet from an extra piece left over after instillation.
What Were the Challenges of the Carpet Repair?
This was a fairly routine job for us, but the main thing was this had to look as perfect as possible since the new owner was just about to move into the home and of course everyone wants to fully enjoy their new home with as little damage as possible to repair themselves either out of the time or pocket book.
What Was the Customer Reaction After the Repairs?
The contractor was ecstatic as he didn’t have to now pay for new carpet for that area of the home which was estimated to be at least $3,500. Another job well done and another happy customer.
