Carpet Damage Description – Commercial Carpet Repairs of Pulled Threads
Now we’ll look at a carpet repair job done in a commercial building in the Sydney Metropolitan area. This was a pulled thread that often happens when someone is installing a piece of hardware of some sort into the floor and using a screw which catches onto the threading and causes a zipper like action pulling the threads out of place. It happens that in this case there was a trades person in the building installing door stoppers with a drill and he caught a thread.
Let’s take a look…
How Was the Carpet Repair Made?
To make the repair needed, we cut out the damaged area and replaced it with the same type of carpet.
What Were the Challenges of the Carpet Repair?
The main challenges faced when doing this carpet repair was to make the repairs so they were not visible in the area. Also working so close to the wall and the stopper proved to make our work space tight.
What Was the Customer Reaction After the Repairs?
As you would probably imagine, the builder was wrapped as he did not need to replace the carpet which would have cost him at least $1,800.
