Damaged Carpet Description – Commercial Carpet Repairs Caused by Contractor
This week we look at carpet repairs made in a commercial building in the Sydney Metropolitan area. This was a pulled thread that was caused by a contractor drilling a hole for a door stopper.
When you have contractors come into your office or building to add additional fixtures to your facility, you want to make sure they are aware of the area they are working in. Especially if they’re going to be drilling through a carpet. It’s very easy for a thread to be caught in the bit or screw and pull right out leaving your carpet damaged.
See below pulled threads damage a contractor installing a door stopper caused.
How Was the Carpet Repair Made?
In this situation we had to Cut a piece out and put a new piece in using the same carpet from an off-cut.
What Were the Challenges of the Carpet Repair?
The main challenge we faced in this carpet repair job was to make it invisible so you could not tell it was repaired.
The End Result of the Carpet Repair?
This was an open commercial area where a lot of customer foot traffic passed through. Cosmetically this is a nice and cost effective upgrade for the owner, but also will help avoid any further carpet damage to the area as it is no longer exposed to potential further damage.
